Cool Wedding Manis

ALL POSTS, DESTINATION WEDDINGS March 4, 2013

Recently I’ve been somewhat obsessed with manicures, Shellac to be more specific. I love the low maintenance approach to my nails. I get them done once every 2 or 3

weeks (fine 3 weeks is pushing it, but hey I have a busy life!). I’m not one to try the latest nail trends, for example for the last 3 months I’ve worn the same “Black Cherry” shade, but this week I decided to changes things up and am now sporting Samoan Sand, a pale, nude colour which I love!

Have you given any thought to what your nails will look like on your wedding day? It’s kind of a big deal, your hands will be on display and must look their absolute best! Are you going au natural or getting “tips”? Will they be acrylic or gel or bio gel? Will you sport the classic “French Tips” or rock something trendy and fun? New trends keep popping up daily, have you seen the ” Louboutin Mani”? Gorge!

Here are a few tips for your wedding day mani:

1) Get your manicure done 2 to days before your wedding day, less if you are having simple manicure without any “tips”. If you are not used to tips the few extra days will help you get used to the new nails as they do take some getting used to.

2) Go to a nail salon you’ve gone to before as not all nail salons are the same. Like art every set of nails can be different. More importantly, you want to know the condition of the salon. Your wedding is not the time to pick up a deadly infection.

3) It’s just nails, totally negates everything I’ve just said I know. Hopefully your visit goes smoothly, however if something isn’t going well, speak up, nails not the right lenght, wrong colour … communicate with your stylist and they will be more than happy to make it right.

Ok, enough talk let’s see some nails!
